How to Purchase your Podcasts

To purchase podcasts you must first Log-in using your e-mail address and password. If you haven't got an account with Dr Podcast, then please go to New User to create an account. The e-mail address you will be asked for will be used as your log-in user name and for any communication with you.

Once you are logged in, click on Podcasts so as to see the list of available podcast categories. Click on the desired category to view the list of podcasts for that group. As you are now logged in, you will see that there is a tick box in each podcast entry. Tick the podcasts you wish to purchase. At the bottom of the page click "Add to basket". You will be taken to the basket page where you can review what you have selected. If you wish to purchase podcasts in other categories click "CONTINUE SHOPPING". If at any time you wish to remove any item or items from the basket then simply tick the items in the "REMOVE" column and click "RECALCULATE BASKET". There is also an "EMPTY BASKET" button.

Note that you can purchase all podcasts in a group by clicking the top item (eg all 30 Pharmacology Primary FRCA Podcasts). Likewise the second item allows you to purchase all podcasts in the whole subject (eg all 90 Primary FRCA Podcasts). For other subjects the only bulk pack available is for the entire subject (eg All Final FRCA Podcasts).

When you are ready to purchase your podcasts, click "GO TO CHECKOUT" on the basket page. Note that if you log off before you purchase your podcasts, your basket will be saved.

On the CHECKOUT page you will be able to view your podcasts and the total price. To purchase, click "PURCHASE". This will take you to the secure Netbanx server where you will be invited to enter your card details. Some of the items on the form will be prefilled with the information you provided when you created your account. You cannot modify this data on this form. To do so, leave the Netbanx purchase page using the browser back button and then go to "My Account" and then "Change My Account" where you can update the details you wish to change.

Once you have entered your card details on the Netbanx form, click "Transmit" to start the purchase process. Your card details will be transmitted to your card provider's company for verification. Do not press the purchase button again or the browser's back or refresh buttons. Please wait for a response. A page will appear telling you either the transaction was successful or that it had failed. If your purchase was successful then you will be given the Netbanx reference number for the transaction and a link on to the page where you can download your podcasts. An e-mail will be sent to you from Netbanx and also from Dr Podcast with details of the transaction. Your Invoice/Receipt is sent as part of the e-mail from Dr Podcast. Please keep an eye on your spam/junk folder. The current breed of aggressive spam filters have a nasty habit of treating wanted mail as spam!

Once downloaded to your hard drive you can then upload the podcasts to your MP3 player. Just follow the instructions provided with your MP3 player. See How to Download Podcasts for more details.
